Description

The person in this role will be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC (computer numerical control) machines, including laser cutting machines, plasma cutting machines, and press brakes.

More specifically, the main responsibilities include:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints (AutoCAD / SolidWorks);

  • Calculate the dimensions and tolerances required for manufacturing;

  • Set up, program, operate, and maintain CNC machines;

  • Verify, using precision measuring instruments, that produced parts meet required dimensions and specifications;

  • Identify and report any deviations from specifications or tolerances;

  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • DEP or ASP in Machining / Machinist training (or equivalent);

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position;

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (AutoCAD or SolidWorks);

  • Knowledge of French or English.

Preferred Education:

DEP, AEC, or certificate in a related field

Required Experience:

Minimum 3 years of experience operating CNC machines
